  • Hello, beautiful souls - I’m Matty Makowski - an Expert Level Certified Sound Healing Practitioner, Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master, and owner of Matty Sunshine Sound Healing based in Rockford, Michigan. Sound healing found me in 2023 during a time when I began my spiritual awakening journey by seriously questioning everything about my personal status quo - from old patterns, work habits, and ways of thinking and living to systems I subscribe to and my definition of God…you name it. This sent me down the magical path of exploring more alternative/holistic wellness practices to help take better care of myself and my family. It was the work of late hypnotherapist Dolores Cannon that first introduced me to how sound, frequencies, and vibrations can be used to heal an individual across mind, body, and spirit. The pull toward sound healing was strong and seemingly a natural fit with my background in audio production and 10 years as a percussionist.

Once sound healing was on my radar, I initially began learning to utilize the modality for my own healing journey and my family's benefit (I'm the proud dada to three beautiful boys and husband to the brightest diamond in my life for 15 years, my awesomely supportive wife, Lisa). But, the universe quickly showed me I was meant to be a way shower and advocate for this ancient practice in modern times. Now, I currently offer multiple sound and energy healing services that can help relax your nervous system and release stuck energy, trauma, emotions, or physical discomfort to achieve balance across mind, body, and spirit. My offerings include private Sound Baths, Floating Sound Baths, Corporate Wellness Sound Baths, Tuning Fork Therapy, Reiki + Sound, Oracle Card Readings + Sound, Hybrid Sound Healing Immersions, and Space Energy Clearing. I also regularly collaborate with local wellness-focused businesses and individuals to host public, ticketed sound baths around West Michigan. I invite you to visit me at - MattySunshineSoundHealing.com - to learn more about me, my journey, my instruments, where we can connect on social media, and more.

    In Love, Light, and Sound,

  • Through my sound and energy healing practice - Matty Sunshine Sound Healing - my intention is to help individuals harmonize their minds, bodies, and spirits by utilizing healing sounds, vibrations, and frequencies to encourage greater conscious alignment to move in and through them so they can radiate their brightest light.

To accomplish this mission, I collaborate with local, wellness-based businesses, organizations, and practitioners to create and offer meaningful, unique, and restorative sound bath experiences. These have included Reiki-infused sound baths; floating sound baths in pools and aerial hammocks; sound immersions paired with floral bouquet building, kombucha sampling, essential oils, and crystal healing; sound baths themed around gratitude, self-love, and releasing what no longer serves; and complimentary sound baths for the community, specifically children to help showcase the all-ages accessibility of sound healing. Collectively, these events have been attended by over 400 unique individuals.

My family and I have experienced first-hand the positive benefits of this ancient healing modality through my own private practice, and it has offered meaningful experiences physically, emotionally, and spiritually to many of those who have attended my public and private sound baths and booked the private sessions I offer, including Tuning Fork Therapy, Hybrid Sound Healing Immersions, Reiki + Sound, and Oracle Card Readings + Sound. I’m incredibly grateful to the Universe for bringing this transformational healing modality into my reality, and for the growing opportunities I’m being blessed with to share it with others.
