Entering the Contest

 

1. Who can enter the Sound & Energy Healer of the Year?

The Contest is open worldwide to individuals age 18 and older, except where prohibited or restricted by applicable law.

You do not need to be a member of the Global Sound Practitioner Alliance, and you do not need to be a Life Changing Energy student.

Practitioners from different schools, backgrounds, traditions, and healing modalities are welcome.

 
2. When is the application deadline?

The standard application deadline is:

September 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

Missed the deadline?

Late applications will be accepted October 1–5, 2026 with a $15 late application fee.

No applications will be accepted after 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on October 5, 2026.

 
3. Does it cost to enter?

There is no fee to apply during the standard application period.

Applications submitted October 1–5 require a $15 administrative late fee.

The late fee does not guarantee acceptance. All applications are still subject to eligibility and application review.

 
4. Do I have to be a sound healer?

No.

The Sound & Energy Healer of the Year celebrates practitioners working across sound, energy, and complementary holistic healing modalities.

5. Do I need a big following to enter?

Absolutely not.

Some practitioners have large online communities. Others are quietly changing lives one client, class, group, or community at a time.

We're interested in your work, your story, and the impact you're making.

 
6. Can I update my profile after I submit it?

Applications may not be edited after submission. If you need to make a change before voting begins, you can reach out via email, and a member of our team would be happy to assist. 

Once voting begins, profile changes may be restricted to maintain consistency and fairness.

7. Does it cost to vote?

No.

Every person may cast ONE FREE VOTE PER DAY using ONE email address.

No donation or payment is required to cast your permitted daily free vote.

Supporters may also choose to make a charitable donation to Brighter Healing Foundation in connection with additional votes.

 
8. Who can vote?

Supporters from around the world may participate in public voting, subject to applicable laws and the Official Contest Rules.

A valid email address is required for free voting.

ONE PERSON = ONE EMAIL ADDRESS = ONE FREE VOTE PER DAY.

Using multiple email addresses, accounts, identities, or technical methods to obtain additional free votes is prohibited.

 
9. Can I use a different email address to vote again?

No.

Each person may use only one email address for their daily free vote.

Using additional email addresses to obtain more free votes violates the Contest Rules and may result in those votes being removed.

 
10. Can contestants vote for themselves?

Yes.

Contestants may participate in voting under the same free-voting rules that apply to everyone else:

One person. One email address. One free vote per day.

 
11. What are the voting rounds?

The 2026 Contest has three consecutive voting rounds. At the start of the contest, each entry will be broken into an equal number of groups. When the Voting begins we will announce the number of vote groups and how many from each group will move on to the next round. 

Contestants who receive enough valid votes within their applicable group advance to the next round until the finalists compete for the title of 2026 Sound & Energy Healer of the Year.

Again, the number of contestants advancing from each group and the treatment of votes between rounds will be announced before voting begins.

 
12. When are the 2026 voting rounds?

The 2026 voting schedule is:

Round 1: October 1–11 — 11 days
Round 2: October 12–22 — 11 days
Final Round: October 23–30 — 8 days

Each round begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on its opening date and closes at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on its closing date.

The 2026 Contest concludes on October 30, 2026.

 
13. Do my votes carry over to the next round?

Yes, 40% move to Round two and 40% of your Round Two total move to Round 3. 

The goal of this is to even out and reset the votes to ensure fairness each round. 

 
14. How are contestants advanced and winners chosen?

Contestants advance based on valid public votes according to the rules established for each round.

The eligible contestant with the highest certified valid vote total under the Final Round rules will be named the 2026 Sound & Energy Healer of the Year.

Displayed vote totals are preliminary until GSPA completes its voting-integrity review and certifies the results.

 
15. How do you prevent fraudulent voting?

We take voting integrity seriously.

GSPA and the Contest platform may review voting activity for duplicate, automated, fraudulent, or otherwise prohibited votes.

Bots, vote farms, multiple email addresses used by one person, fake identities, automated voting, platform manipulation, and other attempts to circumvent the voting rules are prohibited.

Invalid votes may be removed before results are certified.

 

Donations & Additional Votes

 
16. How do additional votes work?

Supporters who want to do more may choose to make a charitable donation to Brighter Healing Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, in connection with additional votes for a contestant.

The contestant you select determines where the additional votes are placed.

The donation itself goes to Brighter Healing Foundation — not to the contestant or contest prizes. 

 
17. Where does the money from additional votes go?

Payments associated with additional votes are charitable donations made directly to Brighter Healing Foundation.

Selecting a contestant determines the additional votes associated with your donation. It does not earmark or direct the donated funds to that contestant.

Brighter Healing Foundation uses donations in furtherance of its charitable mission and programs supporting greater access to healing, wellness, education, and community support.

 
18. Are donations for additional votes refundable?

No. Donations are final and non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

A donation is not refundable because a contestant does not advance, is eliminated, withdraws, is disqualified, changes groups, or does not win.

Your donation supports Brighter Healing Foundation regardless of the Contest outcome.

 
19. Are donations tax deductible?

Tax deductibility depends on applicable law and your individual circumstances.

Neither GSPA nor Brighter Healing Foundation guarantees that a donation associated with additional votes is fully or partially tax deductible.

Please consult your tax adviser regarding deductibility.

 

Contestants & Promotion

 
20. How do I get people to vote for me?

Share your Contest profile!

Contestants may promote their participation through:

  • Social media

  • Email

  • Text messages

  • Websites

  • Community groups

  • Events

  • Media and press

  • Other lawful promotional methods

Encourage your community to return each day for their free vote and share your profile with others.

 
21. Will contestants receive anything to help with promotion?

Yes.

Contestants may receive promotional resources such as graphics, sample captions, suggested messaging, share links, and other materials to help spread the word. This will be available in the contestant portal the day before voting opens. 

And don't be afraid to make your promotion personal.

People aren't only voting for a profile — they're voting for your story and the work you do.

 
22. What happens if someone cheats on behalf of a contestant without their knowledge?

A contestant will not automatically be disqualified simply because someone else casts fraudulent or invalid votes for them.

Where possible, invalid votes will be identified and removed.

A contestant may be disqualified if there is evidence that they participated in, directed, knowingly encouraged, knowingly facilitated, or purchased prohibited voting activity.

23. What can I win?

A lot more than one Grand Prize.

The 2026 Contest includes nearly $50,000 in prizes — with even more surprises to come.

Prize opportunities include:

Top healers may also receive press recognition, GSPA features, social media visibility, recognition certificates, and opportunities to continue sharing their work with new audiences and communities.

24. When will the winners be announced?

The Final Round closes October 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

GSPA will then complete its voting-integrity review and certify the results.

Potential winners will be contacted directly before or in connection with the public announcement.

25. What has changed from the 2025 Contest?

Our first Sound & Energy Healer of the Year Contest was bigger than we imagined — and we learned a lot along the way.

For 2026, we're making it even more exciting, with more ways to win, more opportunities to be recognized, and more reasons to stay involved throughout the entire Contest.

Here's what's new:

  • Nearly $50,000 in prizes — with more surprises to come. That's up from more than $33,000 in prizes in 2025.

  • Surprise prizes throughout the Contest. You won't necessarily have to make the Top 10 to win. Life Changing Energy will be giving away additional prizes along the way.

  • Community Impact Award. A new award recognizing a contestant who creates exceptional community participation and engagement during the Contest.

  • Judges' Choice Awards. Not every award will be determined by the leaderboard. During Round 2, our judges will recognize both a standout Newcomer and a standout Returning Entry based on their applications.

  • Contestant-only discounts and special offers. Watch your inbox throughout the competition for special offers and opportunities just for participating.

  • Bonus Vote Days & Blitz Days. Expect a few surprises designed to keep things interesting throughout the competition.

  • New voting round lengths. Round 1 and Round 2 will each run for 11 days, followed by an 8-day Final Round ending October 30.

  • A late-entry option. Standard applications close September 30, but late applications will be accepted through October 5 with a $15 late application fee.

26. Who runs the Sound & Energy Healer of the Year?

The Contest is created and administered by the Global Sound Practitioner Alliance (GSPA) as an industry-wide celebration of practitioners doing meaningful work around the world.

Brighter Healing Foundation is the nonprofit organization that receives charitable donations associated with additional voting.

Life Changing Energy supports the Contest as an education and industry partner, contributing prizes, resources, and opportunities.

 
27. Is this only for GSPA members or Life Changing Energy students?

No.

You do not need to belong to GSPA, study with Life Changing Energy, or have trained with any particular school or organization.

The Sound & Energy Healer of the Year is intended to recognize practitioners from across the industry.

 
28. Where can I read the complete Contest Rules?

Please review the Official Sound & Energy Healer of the Year 2026 Terms & Conditions for complete eligibility, entry, voting, donation, advancement, prize, and Contest rules.
