About The Contestant: Melodie was nominated for the Sound & Energy Healer of the Year Contest. This bio is from her website:

I have studied many different modalities, from Reiki, to beginning Shamanic practice, to sound healing. Earning Masters levels in Reiki and in Sound Healing, I continue to learn and grow daily in other modalities. I am an energy intuitive, and am learning how to use that in a healing practice. I love music and how it can soothe us, motivate us, and heal us. It is only natural that I found a way to encompass my love of music and musical instruments along with my intuitive energy conscious into something that can benefit others as well .

People ask me WHY Sound Healing? It sounds cliche, but I had a dream. I was walking along a beautiful field of Lily of the Valley, and the fragrance was so strong. It was almost mind-numbing. The weird thing was, I was hearing wind chimes while I was walking, as well as an Indian’s flute, a Shamanic drum, and a Tibetan bowl. I felt so at peace, so calm, so serene – all my troubles floating away on the musical notes, and all my pain dispersing. I awoke with this immediate thought of, “I’m going to renew my Reiki Master certification, and I’m going to look into sound healing!” And so it began.

I’ve helped friends and family along the way during my educational journey, and have even helped a pet heal from surgery. THIS is what I love. This is what makes me feel whole. This is what I want to do – I want to help others feel those beautiful feelings I felt, and possibly help them heal along the way.

I love animals, and currently am the proud parent of 2 cats that love my crystal bowls as much as I do! Our three oldest cats (two were twin brothers) recently crossed the rainbow bridge, taking part of my heart with them. They each had a favorite bowl and would sit by it when I played, tapping their bowl if I was not playing it enough for them. Each time I sit down now to play, I think of them and remember the joy they got from the bowls, helping me to enjoy practicing more.

My love for animals has inspired me to become a Certified Sound Healer for animals. I look forward to helping someone’s dear pet or farm animal heal from a physical of emotional trauma by using sound healing and intuitive energy healing techniques.

I have begun studying biofield tuning and how the energy outside our biofields affects our internal systems. Interested in a mini facial that will rejuvenate you and give you the appearance of a facelift without all the physical trauma and recovery? I can help with that!

I’ve volunteered for many years for my local club, my state organization and for the national organization Multiples of America. I’ve held many positions in all including secretary, treasurer, and President. I’ve learned so much from each, and have met so many amazing souls all over our beautiful country and the world. I’ve even had the honor of hosting a sound bath at a convention, and what an amazing opportunity to share my passion with others!

So this is me. Pretty basic. But here to serve others. I’d love to help you too!
Skills: Sound healing, Reiki masters, crystal bowls, tuning forks.
