About The Contestant: Nathalie Claude has stood on stage as a jazz singer for over 30 years. Five years ago she stopped wanting to play clubs. She was looking for an instrument to take on stage that could play Solfeggio frequencies, found none, and tried to build one herself, with a custom handpan and with synthesis. It failed. When she saw crystal singing bowls, she knew she wanted to learn them. She did her certification as a Sound Medicine practitioner a year and a half ago, and during it she noticed that the bowls around her did not satisfy her ear. Then she went to Egypt. In a meditation in the temple of Dendera she saw gemstone bowls with a precise sound, and she had them built for herself. The label grew out of that. Every Resonance Reset™ bowl is gemstone infused and measured within 5 cents of its target frequency on a Peterson iStroboSoft before it ships. On these sets she composes sound baths and Resonance Sessions with entrainment written into the piece, an approach she calls Frequency Architecture, plays them at health fairs across Switzerland, and gives a one-day course, Musicianship for Sound Healers.

What makes you the healer of the year?: I believe frequencies are the future of healing. I want to take sound healing a step further with precisely pitched crystal singing bowls and other instruments that produce exact frequencies. The difference I see in people when the bowls are accurately pitched is huge, and I think that is where sound healing is going.

My label is only a year old. I measure every bowl myself, before it ships and it has to be within 5 cents of target. Every sound healer who finds me gets their existing set measured, and I match new bowls to what they already own, so that entrainment states come out of the set. Last week I measured a set in Chicago. One bowl had never been played, because its owner felt it was off. She was right, and one matching bowl turns that set into entrainment.

I have always loved gemstones, and their energy has always fascinated me. In my bowls the stone is infused into the quartz, and you hear it: every gemstone sounds different and brings a different vibe. The stone adds a layer to the frequency.

I keep building new precision-pitched instruments and sets. Next are accurately pitched chimes, an Angel Frequency harp, and a set of two-stone bowls tuned to each other in just intonation, a tuning no piano can follow but is deeply satisfying for the body.I work with other tunings and scales, and the concept holds together as music that makes harmonically sense.

We all want the same thing as sound healers. I truly believe that precise frequencies are the future. This November I take the bowls on stage for two concerts where I pair them with the frequencies of a orchid. I was always my own boss as a singer and a coach, but producing precision-tuned instruments and sharing them with the world is the mission of my heart. It is deeply satisfying, humbling, and I think it matters.
